July 4th/Independence Celebrations have a long history in Havre de Grace. In this first post of three, we share some of the items our ‘casual historian’ has in his Havre de Grace History MuZeum.

Havre de Grace Fireworks Factory
Thanks to a local resident, Diane Smith, we have added a good deal of information about Achillo Fabrizio and the Havre de Grace Fireworks Plant off Chapel Road. (We’ll share more in the 2nd of our 3 videos.)
Achillo Fabrizio had a number of patents for a variety of fireworks used in displays. This is just one for ‘Torpedoes.’ Our ‘casual historian’ has 5 or 6 patents thanks to Diane Smith’s generosity! Most of them are dated in the 1930s.
These are a few selections of offerings from the Havre de Grace Fireworks Co., also offered under the ARROW brand.
We also have several pages of a catalog of products offered by the Havre de Grace Fireworks Co., courtesy of Diane Smith.
Check back for the 2nd of 3 videos related to the Independence Day/July 4th Celebrations in Havre de Grace.
REMEMBER, don’t throw the Havre de Grace ‘stuff’ out when you’re cleaning out a home, settling an estate, or just ‘downsizing,’ without checking in with George. Don’t give him cause to cry!!!
Our ‘casual historian’ is always waiting for your stories and any memorabilia you may want to share.
